  1. Step 1: in a food processor blend 1/2 cup of black beans and 1/3 cup of aqua faba into a paste
  2. Step 2: in a heavy bottom stock pot over medium heat add oil, add onions and sauté for 5 minutes
  3. Step 3: add jalapeños and cook for 3-5 minutes
  4. Step 4: add garlic and cook until fragrant
  5. Step 5: add carrots, mix well and cook for 5 minutes
  6. Step 6: mix spice with water and mix into a paste
  7. Step 6 (contd): add paste to mixture, mix well and cook until fragrant
  8. GUDDI’S COOKING TIP reduce heat to low/medium to prevent spices from burning
  9. Step 7: add bean paste and broth as needed and let cook for 5 minutes
  10. Step 7 (contd): add remaining beans and aqua and cook for 5 minutes
  11. Step 8: add corn, mix well and cook for 5 minutes
  12. GUDDI’S COOKING TIP stir occasionally to prevent it from sticking to the bottom and burning
  13. Step 9: turn off heat and let rest for a few minutes
